With every week that passes, teams are running out of time to achieve their aim. Things are extremely tight at the top and bottom of the table too, so the pressure is on in these midweek fixtures.

It is a big test of the various Premier League squads to play a second game in a few days and this is a fantastic time of year to hit a purple patch of form. So, what have we got to look forward to this week?

On Tuesday night, Chelsea will look to continue their title challenge when they head to West Brom, while West Ham host Norwich City in a battle between two teams looking to move away from the relegation zone.

We then have Cardiff v Aston Villa in what should be an entertaining, end to end contest, while Hull host Southampton in a game that Steve Bruce's men will look to get something from.

The biggest game of the midweek fixtures comes on Wednesday night though as Arsenal host Manchester United. The Gunners are chasing the title of course, while United need the points to improve their top four chances.

With Robin Van Persie returning to the Emirates and these two heavyweights of English football going head to head - it should be quite the contest.

Also on Wednesday night, Liverpool travel to Fulham, Manchester City host Sunderland in a warm up for the Capital One Cup final and Newcastle v Tottenham stands out as a potentially epic Premier League encounter.

The games are coming thick and fast - bring it on!
