Ghana will open the AFCON 2017 Group D against Uganda on Tuesday hoping to return to the winning ways and continue the fine performances we’re used to from them in the competition.
Ghana haven’t been in the best spell of form since early September as they’ve earned just three draws and suffered two losses in their last five outings, so they come into the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 hoping they can return to the winning ways against Uganda, which we’ll now back at 8/11 with bet365
The Black Stars have had some great results finishing in the final four in all of the last five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and we feel they might do the same in Gabon, especially if they start picking up their form early on. They’ve earned one point in the two World Cup qualifiers (0-0 draw to Uganda in October, and a 2-0 loss to Egypt in November) but it doesn’t feel the results do them justice as they’ve looked superior in the Uganda clash and were unlucky not to find the net.
Uganda, on the other hand, timed their form somewhat better and they come into the match on the back of two wins and a loss in their last three outings (with the Ivory Coast friendly yet to be played). They will be looking for their chances to go through to the next round and snatching any points here would mean a great deal for Milutin Sredojevic’s side, but it doesn’t seem they’ll be able to earn them on the day.
However, they’ve been very good defensively and will surely pose a challenge for Ghana, who have netted just two goals in their last five matches. We’ll thus go for a narrow contest and Under 2.5 goals FT, which is rated a banker bet by many at 8/15 with bet365
Ghana to win and a No on both teams to score definitely looks a solid bet to get behind at a good-looking 6/4 with bet365
, while a winning margin of just one goal for Ghana comes at 12/5 with the same bookie and it already attracted support from all the right faces!
Under 2.5 goals FT at 8/15 with bet365
